And Then There Was Music

My earliest memories of being alive are of my  father playing Frank Mills' Music Box Dancer like nobody's business while I danced around our living room. I didn't know what happened to me when I was in the music, but it felt like being home more than anything in this world ever did.

And so it began.

Dad taught me to play piano before I learned to read. And then came singing and guitar and performing and songwriting. Years of touring the country and playing in coffeehouses, bars, and other ill-fitting venues for me. Years of feeling like a failure as a musician, wanting to get away from the music, drain it from my veins, be done with it for good, and then years of wishing there was music when there was only silence. Years of living the songs so I could write the songs. Years of questioning and years of knowing. Oh, years. Oh, music.

Now I bring you the highlights of my work through the years as well as some of the new songs as they come.
